Bespoke Learning

Private Lessons, Personal Coaching & Mentoring

If you’re serious about developing your dancing you may want to consider a private lesson. They are available to dancers of all levels, and my bespoke 1-2-1 coaching programme is aimed at more experienced as well as professional dancers.

The sessions can be used to develop anything from personal technique, and performance skills to polishing a choreography or stage performance. Others use them as part of their mentoring process to discuss things like performance technique, dance culture or business development.

Prices start at £50 for a 60 minute session [excluding transport and studio hire], and 2 people can share a private lesson for the same price. When booking a course of 5 sessions you save £5 per lesson. Private lesson may also be taught in your own home or in my personal studio.

Until the 31st March 2020 I’m offering a £10 on all 1-2-1 sessions to enable you to make the most of any additional time you may have at your disposal at home.

Due to my busy schedule spaces are limited and students are accepted on a come first basis. To enquire and find out more, please send me an email.

Online classes can be taken via Skype, FaceTime, WhatsApp etc.

“I have been lucky enough to have had 1-2-1 coaching with Ishtar, which has been the best thing I could have done.  It has helped with my development as a dancer but most of all the confidence Ishtar has given me is priceless. With her patience and expertise she encourages your potential, as well as builds confidence and dance techniques.  Couldn’t recommend enough,” Anita Burkin, Surrey

Personal Development Programme

As an accredited JWAAD teacher and National Assessor, I offer Technique Reviews as part of the Personal Development Programme [PDP]. The programme has been created to support individual dancers through their development and provide a tailored plan to focus their learning on the areas that will benefit them the most.

The Review is a relaxed and friendly 30 minute session, where individual dance moves are assessed to identify your strengths and weaknesses, and then an action plan is agreed to work on. This is really useful if you feel you are ready for specific feedback, and can really push your dancing to the next level.

Afterwards you will receive the official JWAAD assessment papers by post including with your Certificate, Technique Review tick sheet and your Personal Development Plan for future progression.

For more information about PDP please visit the JWAAD Training website.

“I had my first technique review with the lovely Ishtar. It was so useful and Ishtar made sure it wasn’t at all scary! I can really recommend this to anyone who need some help working out what technique they need to focus on. Thank you for providing such a useful tool and service and for being such a great teacher.” Jen Blundell, Surrey
