The sessions can be used to develop anything from personal technique, and performance skills to polishing a choreography or stage performance. Others use them as part of their mentoring process to discuss things like performance technique, dance culture or business development.
Prices start at £60 for a 60 minute session, and when booking a course of 5 sessions you save £5 per lesson. Private lesson are currently only taught online.
Due to my busy schedule spaces are limited and students are accepted on a come first basis. To enquire and find out more, please send me an email.

As an accredited JWAAD teacher and National Assessor, I offer Technique Reviews as part of the Personal Development Programme [PDP]. The programme has been created to support individual dancers through their development and provide a tailored plan to focus their learning on the areas that will benefit them the most.
The Review is a relaxed and friendly 30 minute session, where individual dance moves are assessed to identify your strengths and weaknesses, and then an action plan is agreed to work on. This is really useful if you feel you are ready for specific feedback, and can really push your dancing to the next level.
Afterwards you will receive the official JWAAD assessment papers by post including with your Certificate, Technique Review tick sheet and your Personal Development Plan for future progression.
For more information about PDP please visit the JWAAD Training website.
“I had my first technique review with the lovely Ishtar. It was so useful and Ishtar made sure it wasn’t at all scary! I can really recommend this to anyone who need some help working out what technique they need to focus on. Thank you for providing such a useful tool and service and for being such a great teacher.” Jen Blundell, Surrey
